Best 15 Prebuilt Gaming Pcs With Rtx 3080 of 2023

Upgrade advice needed. Current Gaming PC specs:

• Ryzen 5600x
• Dark Hero X570
• 3080 Ti
• 32 GB 3200mhz CL 16

Is it worth it to upgrade to a 5800x or 5900x for 1440p gaming?

I know there’s reviews out there, some show significant differences, some show very little to no difference. What are your experiences with FPS between these CPUs? Current main game is Warzone, with Battlefield on the horizon

Devon Zrelak And that seems to be the case everywhere i read/watch on youtube that if playing at a very high refresh rate at 1080p, upgrading the CPU would be worth it. All other resolutions it doesn’t seem to be worth an upgrade

I ran a 5600x and RTX 3090 at 144p for about two weeks before I upgraded to 5900x and from x470 to x570 motherboard. I went from 2700x to 5600x to 5900x and GTX 1070 to RTX 3090. My old 5600x, x470, and GTX 1070 are in the kids computer.

Nope ugrade to more cores when the am5 socket comes out. For 1440p the there is a negligible difference. Won't be worth the extra bucks. I'd rather buy more ssd storage lol. But for real the 5600x is amazing and if i were you I'd save the upgrade fpr amd's next lineup of cpus.. because judging by your parts you'd probably be upgrading anyway cause why not have the latest And you will still have a bloody fast secondary machine if you don't sell the parts.

Brett Steenkamp Already have 3 TB of M.2 storage, so no need there. With all the feedback i’ve gotten, sights are set on AM5 upgrades now! Need to just enjoy the rig i’ve got lol!

Kind of debating same thing, but mines running a 3700x, sold the one rig that had the 3800xt. Idk between 5800x or 5900x. I don’t stream live but I do some recording and working on my editing skills. 5950x seems excessive for that.

No point in upgrading anything unless you can get your hands on a 3090 or faster memory. Other than that leave it alone and enjoy the beast you already have. Any "upgrades" are just gonna waste your money. If you need to spend money THIS bad than I'd suggest custom case work, lighting or something to that effect.

Nah, not like games actually use that many threads (and for the only couple that do, it doesn't make a difference).
Basically: 6 core CPUs are really good for gaming, anything over it usually provides just a small bump in FPS if any, sometimes high-end CPUs end up being even worse for gaming.
Also... c'mon, just type ryzen 5600x vs 5800x or something similar in youtube and you'll get hundreds of benchmark videos with the answer.

I think the 5900x with an x570 gp carbon is the way to go. A 3080 is a great gpu. I run 1440p on my setup. It's not as high end as what you're wanting but it runs ok. 110fps on average. Picture is fantastic. I've got an i9 10900, and using a 2080ti.

The question is why would you upgrade a perfectly good CPU that will easily maintain fantastic Frame rates and frame pacing?
Do you stream while gaming as well and actually need the extra cores?
Without knowing more I think you’re being incredibly foolish to upgrade for 0-5% performance in gaming.

Ya just now reading this, keeping my 5600x unless an absolutely killer deal pops up for a 5900x, but have my sights set on next gen CPU's now. I've realized I don't need to upgrade lol

If you want less RGB in there: then go for a NXZT coolers. Avoid any product that has "DRGB", "ARGB", "RGB" or "Gaming Lighting"

As far as the RAM goes, non-RGB ram is only slightly less than RGB RAM. Oh yeah, and finally: a RTX 3080 is NOT a budget build GPU.

This build is not a "budget build", it is a very decent mid level gaming build.

Super happy with how this mini build came out. Little Big Build lol Has some power and works great. Airflow isn't the greatest but overall the temps were very good under stress.

GPU idles around 38°C and under load hit 72°. The CPU was idle at 42° and under load 73°. So for being so compact pretty good lol

Nice! I feel concerned about the PCIe riser though, probably pressing on the case panel when closed... but maybe it has enough slack to so it is not bent by that push.

Oh and wouldn't it be better if the PSU fan is facing the other way? Might give it "fresher" air to breath in?

I thought the same thing Earl, but on Sliger website they recommend the PSU be facing that way so it's exhausting the hot air in the case outwards to the radiator. I debated on swapping it but the temps were stable and everything worked so I left it like that. If it needs to be swapped down the road, I'll cross that bridge then haha . Thanks for the kind words!
