I’m looking into getting or building a gaming pc but have no idea where to start or what to look for in order to have good performance and something that will last for years of use. I will be using it to play call of duty, NBA 2k, madden, and etc games. Not looking for a beginner PC but not looking for a $5000 build either. Thanks

I just bought one from build redux. Very happy with it. High build quality, dual channel ram, no bloatware. Also good customer service.

I got $5000 to spend on a build. If this was your budget, what items would you buy for a full build. I want a balanced PC(looks and performance). List your items below based on price. Thanks!

B550 or x570 motherboard. And for 5900x cpu. Go from there

Just sell that one and build the pc you want. Since you have one already I would try to get the gpu you want first.
Michael White Reply Jimmy ChanthavongI have no idea when it comes to pc and it stuff sorry

well what do you want to do with the pc? Is that 5000 usd budget for everything?
Michael White Reply Jimmy Chanthavong
I pretty much want it for gaming and maybe streaming for fun but yer $5000 for the pc is the highest I’ll go
Jimmy Chanthavong Reply Michael WhiteYou won’t need that much. For streaming with that budget you could do a 3090. It’s overkill but a 3080/3080ti would be a sweet spot. Newegg has the 3090 in stock with a mobo combo but it’s intel.
At minimum I’d run a 3070. Id try to get a gpu first before you start the build.

Lul you want to buy a pc worth 5000$ and you use 1650 GPU this is a foolish work I think you create custom build and you can buy more good pc than thisChristian Crane
That's a good start for a Frankenstein build. I built my first gaming PC as SSD, PSU, GPU, MOBO/CPU/RAM, case, just upgrading. You also learn a lot in the process.
Buttt, if you're asking about a third competing CPU manufacturer I'd go with prebuilt again. It's a good time for that kind of budget.

For $5k budget why are you messing with a pre built?
Michael White Reply Scott Maruskacause I have no idea on how to actually build a pc
