We’ve talked about this before, but for those who might not have noticed: the reason your bathroom looks clean and attractive is that you’re using grout to fill-in the gaps between tile. Grout is made from a blend of clay powder and water that expands when it comes in contact with water, filling-in the gaps (both horizontal and vertical) between tiles.
There are a few more things to consider as well:
- The size and shape of the tiles you’ll be using means that the grout you use will also vary.
- You can choose between four main types of grout: cement-based, epoxy-based, sanded, and unsanded.
- And you can further distinguish between epoxy-based grouts and cement-based ones, with the former being a little more expensive and a little more complicated to install.
