How we test the best kindle for reading

This is a very important point. We don't test Kindles, we don't plug them up to fancy computers and let them run numbers, or leave them in labs while we do other things.

We simply use the Kindle as you would - we'll spend loads of time reading novels, comic books, poetry on them, we'll download books from the Kindle store or other places on the web, we'll go on trips with them or read on our commute.

We're tech fans after all and would probably be using Kindles even if it wasn't to review.

We don't 'test' Kindles, in the way that you might test a child in school. We don't plug it up to fancy computers and let them run numbers, or leave them in labs while we do other things.

No, to review Kindles, we simply use them as you would - we'll spend loads of time reading novels, comic books, poetry on them, we'll download books from the Kindle store or other places on the web, we'll go on trips with them or read on our commute.

FAQs

Is it worth getting Kindle Paperwhite?

The answer is definitely yes! The Kindle Paperwhite is a fantastic device for the price, and it's very well made. It has a beautiful design, and it has some great features like water resistance and sharp text.

The main downside of the Kindle Paperwhite is that it's not as durable as other devices in its price range. It can be dropped pretty hard, which means you'll need to be careful when using the device.

If you're looking for a lightweight device with some good features at a great price, then the Kindle Paperwhite is definitely worth checking out!

Which Generation of Kindle is best?

The Kindle Fire is a great tablet for the family. It has a great touchscreen and is water-resistant. The Fire OS platform is very easy to use and there are plenty of apps and games to choose from. It's also relatively inexpensive, making it an excellent choice for people who want a cheap tablet without getting too much hardware or software.

Is reading on a Kindle better than a book?

No, reading on a Kindle is not better than a book. It's just different.

Kindle is more suited to reading short stories and novels than to long-form academic or scientific works. A Kindle can hold up to 500 books, compared to 1,200 for a book phone. There are fewer distractions within the device, and it features a screen that mimics paper, so you don't incur similar levels of vision damage as prolonged exposure to a smartphone screen.

Is the Kindle better for your eyes?

No, e-readers are not better for your eyes than a regular book. E-readers are designed to be used with either the Kindle software or the free Kindle app on your phone or tablet, so they won't fit in your pants pocket. If you're looking for something that will fit in your pocket, consider reading a paperback first.

If you're looking for something that won't get in the way of whatever you're doing, check out this guide on how to read books from an e-reader .
